Feeling Like You’ve Messed Up? Read This

Sunshine always gives me hope. When we lived in Colorado, with almost 300 days of sunshine, I took it for granted. But after experiencing Midwest winters, I appreciate every golden ray. Spring sunshine just feels different—it lifts the soul. ☀️

Right now, I’m on a Caribbean cruise, working as a travel coordinator with Inspiration Travel. This is my first time working a cruise without Dave, and each trip reminds me that God’s plans for us are bigger than we can imagine. I’m hoping to see some whales—and capture some pictures, too! 🐋👏🏻

Consider

After Christ’s resurrection, he appeared to Mary and the others. The angel at the tomb told the women to tell his disciples—including Peter—that Jesus had risen just as he said. (See Mark 16.)

When I feel like I’ve messed up, those two words—including Peter—remind me of God’s deep forgiveness. Maybe you need to hear that today, too. Whatever shame holds you hostage, Jesus’ sacrifice paid the price to redeem it.

Peter had denied Jesus not once, but three times. Peter had run away in fear. And yet, Jesus forgave him and loved him.

That same grace is for you, too. Nothing you’ve done disqualifies you from God’s love.

Reflect

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18)

Whatever your past, Jesus stands ready to forgive, restore, and love you completely. You are never beyond his reach.

🙏🏻 May I pray for you?

Dear God, Thank you for hope. Jesus, because of your sacrifice, Reader is totally forgiven, restored, and loved. Would you give this assurance to Reader? Help Reader walk in your grace today. Amen.
